The Greeting Farm Card for Stamp Drive

These are the cards I submitted to the TGF CARD for STAMP DRIVE

What is it: TGF is looking for cards to showcase at tradeshow and etc and will to give you a free stamp for every card that is selected.
What to do: Email us any new or existing cards (or altered items) that you have created with TGF stamps this year to thegreetingfarm@gmail.com with subject heading: CARD for STAMP. You can submit as many cards as you want. The TGF staff will be going through all emails and selecting cards they like from all the submissions. For every card that is selected, we will be trading one single stamp. So for example if you submit 10 cards and we choose 7 cards from it, you will get your choice of 7 single stamps! Nifty right?
Card Rules: Card must be made in 2010 (this year!). It can be made using TGF rubber or digi image. We are looking for any TGF images! As well as keeping a keen out out for any Creeper cards or OA cards since we don't have many of those onhand. But any Anya, Ian, Wild Sprout, Cheeky, etc are always a good bet.
How do we know if our card(s) is selected: We will be contacting you through email if any of your cards is selected.
What do we do if our card(s) is selected: If any of your cards is selected, we will contact you for your choice of single stamp or stamps if we choose more than one card. We do require you to send in your card(s) prior to sending out your stamps to you. We encourage you to add delivery confirmation to ensure that your card(s) reach us. Unfortunately we are not responsible to for lost cards in the mail, that's why we hope you put some sort of tracking or etc to make sure that your card reaches us.
Deadline: No deadline. This is ongoing.

September 11th page 5

On this day, we went to Wings Over Halls Air Show. It is also the 65th Anniversary of the End of WWII. At the Air Show you could ride on the B-17 for $425.00 and no, I didn't get to do that but my husband would have given his left arm to have been able to.

The picture is a little out of focus because I took it in my kitchen and the light is not the best and the flash tends to be too bright. So what's a girl to do?!

The handwritten sentiment is "Remember."

Everyone has a 9/11 story, here is mine: We were living in Florida at the time and I was 6 months pregnant with my first child. We had a spiral staircase in our apartment. I had on a dress and was coming down the staircase and fell. I ended up going to my OBGYN since I couldn't feel the baby move. Enroute to the doctor's office, I was listening to the radio and heard about the Twin Towers. It wasn't until I got to the OBGYN's office that the reality set in. Everyone was glued to the TV's: the smoke, the cries, the death.

I am happy to report that nothing was wrong with the baby and he is now 8, but our lives have forever been altered. Remember.

This day my family & I went to Memphis to dinner @ Olive Garden (my fav) and my husband & children always eat the Ande's mints. I don't :( so I saved them to put on my art journal page for today. I also got to go shopping by MYSELF without KIDS...oh, there is a God, to this great little local scrapbook store call Eclectica. The texture, folded paper, that you see in the background is actually my receipt from my purchase which was 20% off of each non-sale item in the store because it is my bday month, how cool is that - thank you Eclectica! The image of the woman is Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante.
This paper is absolutely beautiful!!! Had to have it! Bought 2 8x8 packs by the way! Also got Tim Holtz Distressed Ink Pads to match my new paper!!! The skull and cross bones is a EK Success punch that I got on sale and I punched it in vellum and used the Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze Waterfall representing a heart on my art journal page. On the image of the woman, I cut out a heart from the ande's mint paper from OG and stapled (see!) it to the page. Can you find the sheet music? The image in the middle was created by masking and the hand written words are "you are still here." You may see this pop up alot too. We'll see.

The vein that you will find that will run concurrent in all of my journal pages is a piece of sheet music, masking tape and probably staples. Look for them, it's like a Where's Waldo...lol

The picture on this journal page is a very patient grasshopper that was right outside my back door on our grill. It took me several shots to get my camera to cooperate (for some unknown reason) to get this shot, but alas, how cute is he? The reflection of him in the grill and the contrast, love it!

And the CKW, well first those are my initals, but this is a tag off of a shirt (aren't tags itchy) that my mother let me borrow and I had actually worn it this day and taken the tag out and thought it was fitting to put it on my page.

The handwritten message on this page is "Sometimes, the recipe calls for a little boy shorts." Story...my husband and I were looking at the latest Fredricks of Hollywood catalog that we had received in the mail and was discussing the current sales. Some of their panties are called "boy shorts..." I'll let you use your imagination...lol

The word written on this page is "embrace" and there is a picture of the pink strawberry birthday cake that my husband made me & decorated all by himself! Can't you just feel the love???
